So this past Wednesday I decided to wash and wax Ned for obvious reasons- Wanting him to look like his glorious self for the trip. We’ll it is now night time on the first night of Day 1 and Ned looks like he was beaten with chalk erasers. Filth everywhere. Not good.
Here’s an overview to hold you over till the footage gets up
We left around 7 from Long Island, picked up our second camera man, Matt Brown, who’s been a tremendous help to the crew, and headed out to the AACA Museum in Hershey, PA. This is what the drive looked like at the beginning:
and towards the end:
We got to the Museum around 1pm. They were spectacular. When I walked in they already knew who I was, were interested and enthusiastic about the project, which always warms my heart, and THEN we were given a tour of the entire museum by the Curator himself, Jeff Bliemeister and the Director of Marketing & Public Relations for the museum, Nancy Gates. Hospitality, quality, cars, all TOP KNOTCH! If you are ever near Hershey PA, take the time to visit there. It is a solid museum with a lot of heart. If you don’t believe me, watch the footage when we post it, and you’ll see for yourself.
Ned has been drinking gasoline like a sailor curses. Still love him, and my hopes and mood remain sky high.
My Mom, the genuine lady that she is, packed us with the greatest snacks & sandwiches which were lifesavers along the road. My Dad, the gentleman hero, has helped me every step of the way with Ned, and my knowledge and understanding of Ned would not be where it is today with out all his help. Together we’ve made Ned ready for this extraordinary journey. My sisters deal with me, and still support all that I’m doing and still love me. Big stuff for my antics to be a pain, which I pride myself in daily. One even made this with the help of Mom and Dad the trip:
So all in all, unexpected adventures are happening which are turning out great. Keep posted
For now I need some sleep. I’m running on 2 hours, and am going to be driving for another 10 tomorrow.
Get pumped.
